Early in the morning, you will head to Lake Bled—the most famous attraction in Slovenia—and ride a boat to the island in the middle of the lake. On the island, you can enjoy a potica pastry (a traditional Slovenian treat) and learn about its history. After a morning of exploring Bled, take a short ride to Lake Bohinj and spend the afternoon picnicking on its shore. While the views are sure to dazzle you, we won’t forget to bring along some of the region’s famous cow cheese!

Enjoy a delicious breakfast in the comfort of your accommodation. Another day, another must-see! Off to Postojna Cave, where a small electric train will take us underground for an unforgettable experience. Admire the magical halls and cave formations, and if you’re lucky — spot the baby dragon!

A short drive from Postojna, you will stop by the largest cave castle in the world — the Predjama Castle, with its mysterious stories and wonderful photo-stop potential. You will go further into the Karst region and see stone-house villages, vineyards and a unique landscape before arriving in Štanjel—a dreamy rustic town where you can taste local prosciutto and wine.

Taste buds, ready yourselves! You will be spoiling yourselves with some exquisite wines on this day. The rolling hills of Goriška Brda, covered in vineyards and medieval villages, were made famous by winemakers that are praised all over the world. Visit winemakers in both Goriška Brda and Vipava Valley and enjoy the fruits of their labor. And if you’re lucky, you might even get a chance to dine at the Michelin-starred Zemono Castle Restaurant.

As your vacation progresses, the coastline of Slovenia will offer us a change of scenery with its Mediterranean ambiance, which you’ll experience firsthand as we explore its landscape, climate, and architecture. You’ll spend time in Piran, the most popular town on the coast, and enjoy its small medieval streets and picturesque buildings.

Piran sits at the edge of a wine-growing region, so you will head up into the hills and taste our Mediterranean-style wines at a local farm where you can enjoy the best views of the Adriatic Sea.

Visit the Sečovlje Salina Nature Park, a protected area that preserves the last vestiges of traditional salt production. It is also home to a salt-based spa you’re going to enjoy after a short tour. With the picnic lunch among the olive groves following, can it get even more romantic?

Spend the afternoon by yourselves or visit a fish farm and learn their secrets in a cooking class. If up for a more adventurous endeavour, ride the waves of the Adriatic coastline with a SUP or a kayak.

End your honeymoon on a gastronomic high by exploring the ancient olive groves of Slovenian Istria, discovering indigenous varieties that grow in the most beautiful vantage points.
