The first day will see you two head straight for the Adriatic coast, visiting the Sečovlje Salina Nature Park, one of the last remaining salt pans in the Mediterranean where part of the 700-year-old tradition of producing salt by hand still exists. Let the sea breeze caress your skin as you immerse yourself in traditional thalassotherapy using minerals harvested from the park itself.

You’ll visit the less crowded but equally stunning Lake Bohinj. Rising above the lake and offering some of the best views of the Julian Alps is Vogel Plateau, which you can reach by cable car. Alternatively, you can also hike to the nearby Savica Waterfall, praised in one of the most famous Slovenian poems.

Leaving the alpine world and heading towards amazing and less discovered eastern Slovenia. Stop in the lovely capital on the way, to get the feel of the city, walk the city center and of course, have time to buy a padlock and lock your love at the Butcher’s love bridge.
